Blockader drops you into the boots of a space rodent defending a lunar outpost against escalating alien waves - and then, thankfully, takes the aiming off your plate. Weapons fire automatically in this roguelite auto-shooter; your job is movement, positioning, and the far harder skill of choosing what to become. A run spans roughly thirty waves, and every card you pick decides whether wave 25 is a victory lap or a wall.
With WASD as your only movement tool, you circle a round arena while the horde thickens. After each cleared wave the game offers four upgrade cards - press 1 through 4 to take one, or spend a reroll when all four are duds. The card pool spans around fourteen skill types, and the real depth is in synergies: chain lightning that hunts strays on its own, overwhelming bullet-count builds, toxic pools, piercing shots for packed lanes, even a dragon companion. Enemies drop Stars - the permanent meta-currency - along with mid-run stat boosts, so a lost run still leaves you measurably stronger for the next one.
Keep circling and never camp - standing still is how auto-shooters kill you. Build toward synergies instead of flashy standalone picks; a boring bullet-count upgrade that feeds your chain lightning is worth more than the shiniest single card. Save your rerolls for genuinely awful card sets rather than mild disappointments. Watch for snipers in the later waves and start dodging before they fire, not after. And bank your Stars into permanent upgrades at base - survival picks first, damage second; a dead run earns nothing.
Blockader sits openly in the Vampire Survivors and Brotato lineage, framed with a base-defense skin, and its browser build has no publicly credited developer. For fans of the genre who want a zero-install fix with real meta-progression, it plays free on Parodybox.
